If god is breath, the pause between breaths is the point at which the divine becomes human and the human divine. At the moment of complete exhalation, the human is depleted. Then arrives the breath of god, a new dispensation. This dispensation, dispensed in exhale is the offering of the human vehicle.

For those of us who feel unworthy, the relevance of this is supreme. The human vehicle serves a purpose, has a job - divine to human and back again. Whether conscious of breath or not, 'awake or asleep', this purpose is fulfilled. The offering is worthy and accepted - the job is done.
