Patio in Waiting .....

.... and waiting and waiting!! Well the second load of materials turned up, as promised, but no sign of that elusive British character, the builder! Having got up at 7 am so as to be ready in case he arrived early, I was not best pleased when he didn't show up at all.

By mid-day, when the rain had started, it was obvious nothing would get done today, but it wasn't until 4 pm when we received a phone call to apologise for not being in touch sooner. A problem with a mobile phone was blamed. Why is it that so many workmen seem to be issued with these dodgy mobiles?!!

It will be Monday now before any further work is contemplated (unless he remembers that it's a Bank Holiday!) and that will depend on dry weather, of course. I fully understand that, but it's the lack of communication that gets me riled!!
