Safely arrived

Having arrived safely in Victoria, Mrs. Ottawacker and Ottawacker Jr. wasted no time in going to the beach and getting in the ocean. 

I was while this was happening that Air Canada, Canada's laughingly named "national airline", decided to cancel Mrs. Ottawacker's flight to Calgary the next day. No reason given, just "flight cancelled". They had booked her on a subsequent flight arriving in at 7pm, which essentially meant she would arrive in Banff at 10 and thus miss one whole day of the 5-day course. What utter wankers. Mrs. O Skyped me with her phone in hand, on a one-hour hold to speak to an agent. What utter wankers. Did I say that already?

With some playing around and creative tweaks, we managed to book her on other flights ourselves that got her in to Calgary at around 3 - and then into Banff for 6. A little better, but not brilliant. I mean, what can you do? Give anyone a near monopoly and they treat you like crap.
