On Tour
We started the the day at Porthclais. A small inlet which provides shelter for a number of small vessels. The light did not do me at favours but liked the sight of a group of canoeists heading out to sea (see extra).
After a coffee at the Kiosk we visited St David’s Cathedral. Last time we visited we couldn’t look inside so we took the opportunity this time. Such an impressive place for such a small place.
On the way back we had an impromptu stop at Newgate beach. Although a fresh breeze was blowing down the beach it was fascinating to see the rock formations and caves cut into the bedding planes of the folded strata. I enjoyed seeing the kite surfers making the most of the conditions too.
A grand day out.
