Eype Beach...
It rained a bit early this morning but by 10am it brightened up and turned into a nice sunny day. We went back to Eype for a walk on the shingle beach and to get this photograph looking west towards Lyme Regis.
We had a fish and chips lunch at the Old Customs House, West Bay which was really good even if it was served up in a cardboard box...
After we went up for a walk on the South Dorset Ridgeway to Abbotstbury Castle, an ancient hill fort. The extras show a reminder of unhappier times at Eype, a wartime pillbox defending a possible landing place and the trig point at Abbotsbury Castle 215 mtrs ASL. It was a bit of a pull to get up there...
If we get time I'll try and get back to the trig point with a wide angle lens.
