Heron with his tongue (?) hanging out

I didn't expect to see this through the office window!

A bit of luck really, as I am shackled to my desk, slowly being buried in paperwork :-(

I rather hoped he would take flight so that I could get an action shot, but he seemed quite content to stand in the sun with his beak hanging open.

Thank you, my lovely blip pals, for the stars and hearts on my buzzy blip yesterday. I hope to bump into buzzy and his mates again soon.
