Light

Shine a light for hope was a theme of the morning’s sermon. The talk for young people involved modern day light generation: from torches to candles to light bulbs to phones. And glow sticks enjoyed by both the young and not so young.

Two examples of old style lighting displayed were oil lamps from Jerusalem and Rome.

They reminded me of the lamp we brought back from Petra many years ago. How old it actually is I don’t know but it reminds us of a great trip.

Afternoon spent power hosing the path at the front of the house. It turned a bit cooler later on so the back of the house will have to wait. Autumn is coming!
