Pink-footed geese (oft known as Pinkfeet), coming in to land at Udale Bay, as viewed from an RSPB hide. There were thousands of geese and other birds there, roosting whilst the tide was in.
An extra with a comparison between the Pink-footed geese on a bank, and some Greylag geese in the water. There's also a little female Teal duck facing and swimming the opposite direction to all the other birds.
Very windy day that had me hurtling over there on my bicycle. Wind had strengthened and the temperature had dropped for long struggle home... which starts with a 590 feet ascent, over two miles.
