Balloons!
A glorious morning again, I took this photo of three balloons appearing from their usual spot just around the hill above Larkhall at just before 8.00 am.
The other balloons are party leftovers hanging from the Laurel arch leading to next door. I love the early sun on the white Japanese Anemones.
Grace was off to an all day rehearsal quite early, returning some of the balloon man’s equipment along the way. Eda found one of his masks in her dressing up box so it was useful to be able to return that too.
Making the most of the lovely weather we were out in the garden mist if the day. Chris had brought his shredder as John has been cutting back trees and shrubs around the garden. One was a Fir and the smell of the shredded needles in the sun was delightful.
John continued clipping the Laurel arch as he’d only done one side.
This lovely family photo was set up by John after everyone had gone home yesterday evening. In the same spot this morning we had a nice cake and coffee break.
When Jude went for her nap Eda took herself off too. I think she is exhausted with all the excitement of the week on top of school. I hope she’s OK next week as she starts full days. I’m sure she’ll be tired to begin with but life will be easier for the family.
We’re home now, must admit it feels colder. Hope I’m not disappointed with Karen Pirie after reading many of the Val McDermid books.
