Tenby
Today we were competing in an urban orienteering competition in Tenby. We had early start times to try and avoid the crowds. The start and finish was on the beach (see top right extra). A tough first control involved several flights of steps up the cliff. Lots of well thought out control sites ensured we visited most of the interesting parts of the town. The only downside was the killer climb back to the car when we finished!
Afterwards we had a wander round to take a few photos. The main is the view back towards the harbour from castle hill, the site of a Norman castle. In the extras is the alternative view with the cannon and bandstand (a replacement for the one dismantled and melted down for the war effort) to St. Catherine’s Island with a Naoleonic fortress.
Looking forward to a slower pace tomorrow and enjoy more of the sites of Pembrokeshire. Thank you for following our adventures.
