Gift

I’m always delighted to see this beautiful visitor in the garden, especially at the end of my garden birdwatch, so it’s in the count, but hasn’t affected the number of other birds on my day’s list. Today, he landed on the bird feeder and proceeded to preen, leaving several feathers on the grass below. Another shot in extras, as he lifts his tail in readiness.
