My green hideaway

Here is one side of my greenhouse.
Watching things grow is good for the blood pressure.

The plants, a mixture of alpines, succulents and cacti, stand on a bed of horticultural sand. For watering I just soak the sand and the plants draw up moisture through capillary action.
The white arches ? The green fabric along the base of the window unrolls over the arches at times when frost is forecast.

Its all very interesting.
