Butterfly and Great-Nana

The girls and I went to visit Great-Nana today. Well to me, she is just Nana, and she'll be 89 in a fortnight. She lives in a rest home and we went there early, as Nana often takes herself for little outings each day. Today she was home when we got there, so I was able to thank her in person for my birthday present, and the girls could thank her for their Easter gifts. As we were headed to Butterfly Creek, we invited Nana to join us. And she did!

Her red top was a great attraction to the butterflies, and if you look on her sleeve, you'll see one there. We had a lovely time with Nana, and dropped her back in time for her game of Bingo at the rest home.

After that, we popped in and visited my parents, and were in time to see a Monarch butterfly hatch. Then off we went back to Butterfly Creek where we stayed until after closing time. The keepers of the farmyard bit let us help with the feeding and putting to pasture all the animals.

We ended up back at my parents' place for tea, as the Husband needed collecting at some stage from the city. All home now though. Nice day.
