Jack And Buck

I spotted the muntjac buck on our morning walk. He was very distant and the image is heavily cropped but one can see that his ears are in pretty good condition so he hasn't been in many spats with other bucks yet. These deer have very sharp canines which they use in combat and ears can get ripped. 

I photographed Jack heron, who had just taken off from his perch by the silver birch, this evening.
