Supervision

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Today I went into the office.

ON A FRIDAY? You may say.

Well yes. This is because Caro had booked plasterers to come in, and it's not like working from home would have been easy anyway.

I was not expecting a great day. Because WHO COMES INTO THE OFFICE ON A FRIDAY? And so I was expecting a day on my own.

SYYYYYYYMON!!!!

I heard.

COOOORRRRIIEEEEE!!

I responded.

It turns out that Corrie was in the office too! She had a thing in the city after work so we sat together.

I wondered if Shenée was also in town and messaged her. It turns out that she was working from home but she invited the pair of us to go and spend the afternoon working from her place.

"Working" in air-quotes, obviously.

We actually spent a glorious afternoon laughing and chatting and I think it raised all of our spirits. I've definitely had the easiest post-Project Gromit journey, as I've been working with Ellie. But it's been a lot harder for Shenée and Corrie.

We all really miss each other.

"I REALLY needed this afternoon," said Corrie, giving me a big hug when Shenée dropped her off at home.

I needed it too. And I told Shenée so.

All the same, I'm happy. I got home to my lovely Caro and we have a lovely weekend ahead of us. Maybe things aren't the way they were but they are still pretty good.

And Jasper seems to approve of the plastering job.

S.
