Circular Bath

I've spent most of today at the Guildhall in Bath, attending a meeting of the Museums Computer Group, a relatively informal grouping of people with an interest in how museums best make use of IT, the Web (particularly the social Web) and new media.

It was a really interesting meeting, comprising talks and discussion by various museum people, including several from some of the museums in Bath.

We ended the day with a guided tour of the Roman Baths, a complex of naturally heated roman public baths, built in the town of Aquae Sulis (now known as Bath but previously a Celtic shrine to their goddess Sulis).

This is an image of the circular bath, showing one of a series of films of male bathers projected onto the walls.

The bath is full of coins, presumably thrown in for good luck, which seems a bit of a shame to me.
