The photo in the top left is of White Moss Tarn. I’ve always called it the heron pond because of the heron I often see there. There’s not much water at the moment. It’s shown but not named on the OS map but Mr Google provided me with a photo of a National Trust sign by the tarn which said that work had recently been carried out to control New Zealand Pygmy weed. The notice has long since disappeared from the board.
