Coate Water Park (Thursday 22nd September 2022)

When I reached the bottom of my drive I instinctively turned left, which was already the wrong way for utilising the refined route to Coate Water Park I had pioneered on my last visit, so I drove via Clyffe Pypard, but nonetheless I was parked after 36 minutes, and set off around the lake, this time in a clockwise direction. This was the second heron that I encountered and later I saw a third. I also saw a great crested grebe and some cormorants, and the resident black swan although that coincided with my second camera battery depletion problem of the day.

My camera settings are not set up to capture moving objects by default and when a heron takes off to my surprise, there isn't time to make the changes needed, however I nearly managed a shot this time (in Extras).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Arthur Lee and Band-Aid - Everybody's Gotta Live (recorded January-February 1972, A&M Studios, Hollywood CA)
This was a single taken from the album Vindicator, released as a solo album rather than the latest line-up of the band Love. Another version of the song appeared on the re-formed Love album Reel To Real. I own the album Vindictor but was reminded of it when it turned up over the end credits of this week's episode of The Great. It also featured in the film Jojo Rabbit a while back.
