Seaham Art Gallery.

Had a visit to the tiny gallery at Seaham today where I met John and Joy Hall. John does woodwork and Joy does all sorts of other art mainly related to textiles. The exhibition revolves around the Lindisfarne Gospels and the Celtic imagery within them. Currently the Gospels are on display at the Laing Art gallery in Newcastle.  John made the book ends from oak and took the image from the Gospels for the creature on the right. The left bookend is a dog that he made up. Joy embellished the book. 
An enjoyable trip to Seaham.
