A friendly visit

My friend Alex came over today and we had lunch in the conservatory. We have a tradition of bread and cheese lunches together, with a bit of tomato and cucumber thrown in. Neil drove me to Costcutter to get some nice bread, a "French Stick" or as I would call it, a baguette. We all three had a rather nice lunch sitting on our new settees.

Alex and I were out in the garden when we weren't eating, and when we were in the conservatory we had a good through breeze with all the windows and doors open. Alex wore a mask whenever she came into the house. I do wish the covid booster could make this all feel a bit less necessary.

We wandered down to the duck pond, which was as far as I felt able to go today. We took the extra special super-duper duck food but the ducks weren't very interested.

It was lovely seeing Alex again and it was the first time having someone round to try out the new garden furniture!
