Acer circinatum ......

.... aka The Vine Leaf Maple ..... a spreading bushy shrub with leaves turning red or orange in autumn.

Very heavy rain through the night and first thing this morning. We Scots are not put off by rain so wearing my wee short wellies and waterproof jacket I headed off to Greenbank Gardens. I haven't been there for ages and really enjoyed my walk round all the little paths.

I was struck by the colours of leaves as they took on the wonderful autumnal shades. I was spoilt for choice but opted for a photo showing the contrast in colours from the vivid green to vibrant red.
