Election Day

I always try to vote, and did so again tonight, however it felt like this was a lack lustre election. I remember elections at Uni, with hustings and debate over who stood for what....and this was just for sports rep for the hall. I think an element of this should be injected into local politics!

Also, I feel the ballot paper is missing the alternative, no not another party, but 'none of the above', rather than spoil papers (not that I did) you should have the option of not selecting any, with potential for a repeat election if no one gets more than the NOTA vote.....could prove interesting.

That said, I hope the chap I voted for gets in, I've met him, know his names,he turns up for local events and really seems to care.
