Abstract Thursday — Weather

Ingeborg has given us the challenge of ‘weather’ today. This is a bucket of rain water after a day and night of showers. 

Australia had a National Public Holiday to grieve for the Queen. I was a bit of a loss as to what to do so went for a walk, darned some socks and had a nap. We have had wall to wall media coverage for 10+ days so many thought a public holiday was disruptive and unnecessary. I feel for businesses having to pay for an extra day off and people who have had surgery cancelled. I didn’t affect me one way or the other. 

I would like to remember my grandfather who’s birthday it was today. He was born in Shustoke in the Midlands in the 1890s.
