Long Way Back
An astonishing film. I cannot review it because it has to unfold in its own time, at its own pace, and I don't want to give anything away. The Guardian reviewer completely failed to get it.
It's about human relationships under stress, about parenthood, about getting things wrong, trying to get things right, losing it, love, memory...
I loved the cinematography; some would say it was just exposing its very low budget.
Tender, raw, intelligent, painful, it's definitely not for everyone; I would see it again tomorrow.
