Reccied a future Bus Pass Walk - intended point of entry onto the canal - crossing the bridge at Cardigan Fields was closed -- due to repair works - was given details of alternative access route by friendly workmen - took them - the details - not the workmen - and walked into Leeds - passing by Castleton Mill - partook refreshments in Tiles Cafe - kitchen closed for refurbishment - excellent choice of cakes and coffee available - but only hot food available was toasted crumpets or fruit loaf - no chance of the Bus Pass Walker’s favourite - a bacon sandwich - fell asleep on one of return buses home - did manage to stay awake for later teatime drinks with friends though
