A stalk snapped

In the bunch of roses I took to my friends in Bournemouth last week, and I was left with a rose with no stalk.  So I popped it in an eggcup, and it’s stayed alive so far.  Neither the eggcup nor the rose are anywhere near perfect - but I thought they look nice.
