2022 Monday — Ashly’s Birthday

Today is granddaughter Ashly’s (without an “e”) 34th birthday. Probably in the Top 5 of wonderful things that have happened in my life — is becoming a grandparent. Ashly’s little boy, RJ, is our 4th and youngest great-grandchild. The two of them are sitting and looking at a waterfall in the Los Angeles Aboretum.

Our backyard construction continues. Mercado and his guys arrived at 7:45 this morning and they exited at 7:15 this evening as it was getting dark. Their schedule is (I think) grueling (but I am not the boss).

At 3:00 this afternoon, Mercado asked us to come have a meal with him; so the three of us enjoyed some time and some delicious food together at Martin’s (pronounced “mar- teen’s).

We are looking forward to construction ending; we are not looking forward to our time with Mercado ending. We enjoy our time with him, and I am even learning a little Spanish.
