View from the window

In the City for a few days. The flat where I'm staying has a view down the street.

Train to KIng's X, St Pancras to Blackfriars. Found the flat, got provisions. Was too late for the opening hours for Inner Temple gardens; wandered up to Fleet Street through some very old lanes (cobbles here too); into St Brides to look at the preserved patches of stonework from the Romans onwards in the undercroft; around by St Pauls and back across Farringdon. Nearly 30 years ago I used to come here regularly so the street patterns are familiar.
