New arrivals

We went to Castle Espie this morning for a walk  - the Light Bellied Brent Geese are returning! There were lots of new arrivals on the Lough, thousands,  with more arriving,  they made an impressive sight,  and a very impressive sound too!! 
However,  there is another new arrival in the family,  our niece D. became a grandmother yesterday at 23:19, when her daughter H gave birth to a son, Finlay James...... I am absolutely delighted,  even though I now feel ancient as he is my second great-great nephew
