A bit of Seaford history.....

... relating to a somewhat tricky relationship with the French. This sign is on the wall of what is now a B & B on the seafront. Though a little difficult to read, it tells of two encounters -  more here. Kevin Gordon is a local historian with a gift for disseminating history in a light and informative way.  The names Buckle and Pelham are to be found around the area.

The B & B was previously a pub, and replaced an even older pub seen here.
