Halifax railway station 1855
This was designed by Thomas Butterworth and opened in 1855, some five years after the completion of the line onwards to Bradford. It is a long single storey building in ashlar stone, with a central pediment and a classical portico of fine proportions. It is a Grade II listed building and now houses the nursery associated with the Eureka! Children's Museum
