Panoramic Wheel

We went on this with my parents back in July.

R and I first saw this in the Loughshore Park near where I used to live back in Summer 2021. I said we'd go on it sometime but never did. Throughout childhood I've been bad with heights but I thought this wheel would be a good way of overcoming that fear. R also isn't great with heights and wasn't a fan of the idea.

Fast forward a year. My parents come to visit for my graduation so I take them to the Botanic Gardens. I don't remember who decided we should go on it, but I was happy to finally give it a go.

R didn't look at all as she was far too scared of how high we were going. I was okay with it and even enjoyed the great view! Then the wheel stopped while we were almost the highest we could go. This was most likely to allow more people on the wheel, but the parents started joking about it being stuck, saying we would need to monkey bar across the wheel to reach the ground. I had to hold tight because it was making me feel very aware of how high we were. I looked at R and saw the most nervous smile you could imagine.

When we got off, R nearly fell over. Her legs felt like jelly after that experience!!

Forgot about how everything was closed today which was bad because I needed bread and milk. Fortunately the Spar was open for the morning.
