Shropshire Union Canal

Had another fabulous sleep last night (though still managed to feel super tired today).  Once we were up and about, we drove to Horseshoe Falls and had a little walk there - to look at the falls and for a little explore along the canal (which begins at the falls).  We sat on a bench further along the canal to eat our lunch - such a peaceful place to perch.

We came back to the cottage for a while in the afternoon, I cooked us dinner and then we headed back out to try and catch the sunset at the Pontcysyllte aqueduct.  It was lovely and peaceful there, but the sunset never really materialised.  Nice little evening outing though.
