Blow out the candles, never mind the photo!
Today was a momentous day. It was so important that it was actually announced that it would be a bank holiday across the land. Today was the day of my neighbour, Christine’s, birthday and the day she officially retired after 38 years working for the NHS.
We enjoyed a few glasses of Prosecco over the garden fence as we toasted her new venture. In the blip, just behind her son, Ben, you can see the new building that will become a boarding cattery, just as soon as the final touches are made and the license is granted. It’s a small, three chalet, structure (we don’t have very big gardens) but will provide the luxury accommodation that people demand for their moggies when they go away on holiday.
The candles did eventually get blown out and we all celebrated with a slice of cake and a few more glasses of fizz!
