Today’s walk

we were told about the walk to Mylos beach so that’s what we did this afternoon. It’s not easy, you have to walk up lots of steps, negotiate tree roots, rocks, elevation and then then you have to descend in a similar fashion. Some people were wearing unsuitable footwear, flip flops. We had been told there was a boat taxi but we weren’t told it had finished fir the season. The descent is on the right hand side of the beach and we walked to the far end. I tried going in the sea but it dropped away quite sharply where the waves were breaking. The return journey seemed easier than the onward journey and we had a good swim in our own pool, much safer. A nice meal this evening rounded off the day. No wind today and slightly cooler so more agreeable. I seem to be struggling at elevation in the heat.
