A Day in History.

It's been a funny day in a funny world.

The eerie quiet of a stroll in the heavy drizzly rain.

The sight of Union Jack flags at half mast.

The huge pomp and ceremony in London.

Then the words of Jeremy Vine stating the very real truth that "come midnight we'll be worrying about the cost of living crisis again"...

I've not watched the funeral but I have looked at photos. I hope the family now allow themselves time to privately grieve. After all, Queen or not, she was a mother, a grandmother, and so on, to those in her family. Their loss is no difference to that of you or I in that sense. 

I think I'll end my blip tonight without some words I saw on Facebook which are a quote from Queen Elizabeth herself.

"When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat; instead, they are all the more determined to struggled for a better future."

I like that. :-)
