My Journey to Space

After the Ageing Well Festival yesterday - a collection of workshops, stalls, talks, demonstrations and information about volunteering opportunities, all of which were designed to help us age well - today we put its principles into action. These are ‘live, laugh, love, learn.’ Yesterday I did a singing workshop with the Rock Choir, and toyed with the idea of Scottish Country Dancing. We went for a drink in the sunshine, and then to see Tim Peake at the Princess Theatre. It was a great evening. He was a marvellous motivational speaker, and the photos and film from the International Space Station seen on the big screen were terrific. We are fans of the ISS, and usually try to see it on its regular journeys overhead. In fact there is one tonight - 9.09.
