I visited Marrakesh last May and was enthralled by the souks.

I became obsessed with finding the perfect slippers and my quest involved diverting incidents such as being taken up a tiny ladder, through a workshop and onto the roof of the souks for a different view of the city.

I bought slippers, herbs in the Mellah and, finally, splashed out on two relatively expensive beautiful objects: this mug with tea strainer and a ring.

Nearly a year later I still love this mug and the ring. As for the rest...

A reminder that value wins over price.
