I have mega catching up to do here on blip!

The day was quiet and at home. I did some domestic things household chores, and G followed the Queen's journey from Balmoral to Holyrood House. I had not realised just how beautiful that part of Scotland is! No wonder it was cherished by the Royals.

We then got ready to leave for dinner with friends in Sharjah. We met up with Jeff and Margaret, and there were other friends too, so a lovely evening eating and chatting. I'm glad I took the DSLR with me, as it is so much better for group shots.

We were supposed to call in at the House of Wisdom, but I got my timings wrong, so I will have to wait to do that on another day. We stopped off at Union Metro Station as J&M had heard of people sleeping rough there. They wanted to see it for themselves.

Being engrossed with events in the UK, we didn't catch any other news, particularly of the ceremony to mark the 21st anniversary of September 11th.
