The ad on the bridge

The bridge is very near my place of work. It runs over Queen Street train station and has been closed to traffic for several years, bar busses and taxis, and pedestrians. In the last few months ugly, grey fences and huts were placed on the road. The passage remains for pedestrians, but it's a pavement with bumps and holes, and in part is single file. A useful thoroughfare it maybe, busy with for the most part walking students and academic staff.

I'm ok with the billboard staying - it's not great, there's a bit of barbed-wire below and overall it's not the most aesthetic of passages, used principally moreover between 8 and 6. I'm struggling though with the wisdom of the Shell ad, which went up as the road closed. Not quite fail - it'll be bought in bulk and this one will be filed under 'just so happens' - but pretty close to 'could do better'.
