The forester has joined the local tramping club and this weekend was his first overnight trip.  He rates the experience nine out of ten.  Walk through bush for five hours carrying a pack to a little hut, stay overnight and walk out today on another track for even longer.   It is an activity people do and there are clubs throughout the country.  It may be called hiking in other countries.  The tracks or trails can be variable.  You can tell it's not my thing.
