The People's Place

Saltram House in Plymouth is a wonderful amenity for local people. As well as the grand Georgian House there are woodland and riverside walks, a cycleway, an orangery and oranamental gardens. My blip photo shows the western side of the house facing the gardens. Everyday people pass through the gardens and look at the House. I like to think that the house is at the same time looking out at all who pass. The age of elegance for the few may be long gone, but today the house enjoys the pleasure it brings to it's many and varied visitors.
