Weighing the catch
Strolling along the prom after the fascinating interview with Robert Harris as part of the Budleigh Salterton literary festival, we spotted a fisherman hauling his bucket of crab up the beach from his little boat. Apparently he sells his catch at a table by his hut. The old scales and notebook were waiting to be deployed.
I could see the fisherman down towards the shore and I waited for him to return so that I could get a Man At Work picture. But he was involved with some boat maintenance so I gave up.
On leaving later (extra) I reflected on a lovely few days in Devon. Cant wait to go back.
