Back to the Forties

It's the 'Forties Weekend' on the railway and the first full one for three years following a much reduced affair last year and complete cancellation the year before.  Holt and Sheringham at the two ends of the line really get involved and today we started at Holt looking around all the stalls and entertainment before getting the train to Sheringham where we had fish and chips for lunch.  We then headed back on the train to Holt where we caught a very small 'Big Band' on stage.  Lots of people had dressed for the occasion in '40's' costumes; we felt rather out of place in our 2020's civvies.

My main shot is at Holt but I've added some extras; a Spitfire, a local Bobby at Sheringham, two pampered pooches, some rather impressive headgear and finally, the stage at Holt.  All in all, an enjoyable day.
