Deathwalking
I’m driving back from Newmarket, and Kim Hill is on Radio National.
Kim Hill’s interviews are sublime: she’s a sympathetic listener who engages with her subjects and knows what she speaks. She gets to the heart of the matter.
I hadn’t heard of deathwalkers before (someone who accompanies the dying person on their journey). But Kim is talking to one (Zenith Virago, who lives near Byron Bay); here for the Death Matters conference in Christchurch next week. I don’t recall hearing of Death Cafes before, either but, apparently, they are a thing.
