Bring me sunshine

This morning we went to Lancaster which was very nice and not as tired or run down as many cities. We then decided to come back to the caravan via Morecombe. We last went there the day after we lost dear old Thomas so it is over 10 years since we’ve been. It is certainly past its best but still has some gems including this wonderful statue. There are various quotes on the promenade in front of it, including ‘he won’t sell any ice cream going at that speed’ which has always been one of my favourites!

Called in at Arnside on our way back to Kendal and then a lovely meal out at the Strickland Arms.
