Joyce, Leslie, Angela, castle

Up and out this morning to drive to Tipperary (it’s a long way!!). Went to the florist in Cashel to buy grave and present flowers then went to Dundrum to see Robert and Denise, my great aunt and uncle (Leslie’s parents if you are keeping track) then to Clonoulty to see Prudence and John, my great grandparents. Left them all flowers then proceeded to use all the facilities in Clonoulty including the post office to ask where a toilet was, the pub to use the toilet and establish they only took cash (for drinks not the toilet). Back to the post office to get cash which invoked three different cards and buying blackcurrant jam, then back to the pub for drinks and crisps. If we had been accused of a crime at that time we have many witnesses for an alibi, as we trotted back and forth.

Then to Leslie and Joyce’s for lunch, Leslie is my mum’s cousin, I hope you have the family tree nicely mapped out now. They live on the farm with castle ruins. I mapped out my great plans for making their farm into a campsite with me as the manager and living in their caravan. It’s a beautiful place and will make a cracking campsite. Very lovely people that they are, I don’t think they were completely convinced.

And as queueing is the current national hobby I spent just under 9 hours in the virtual Silverstone queue to buy tickets for next years Grand Prix. Only to find the prices had dramatically increased to complete silliness by the time I got to the front. I’ll watch it on the telly then!

Extras of graves if you like that type of thing….
