Kinver Edge rock houses and Mosley Old Hall

Today I took the day off work and also arranged for C to come to let the dogs out at lunchtime. B and I went to visit the rock houses at Kinver Edge. We had been aiming to go for a long while now. They were very interesting and they are National Trust so they have authentic items from when they were lived in. Some looked dark and a bit dismal but some looked cosy with fire lit and lots of useful furniture and old Utensils.
In the afternoon we traveled on to Mosley Old Hall, another National Trust property. This was also interesting and very apt as we have been walking the Monarch’s Way trail on and off for a while now. This was the escape route from Charles II after the battle of Worcester. The family at this house gave him sanctuary on his escape route for a couple of days. Back a long time and very historic. The battle of Worcester was in 1651. So we had a very adventurous day visiting these places. Back home now and walked the dogs across the fields.
