The wonder of a kite
We are all pretty shattered today. We were out early this morning to Leeds via bus and train with Euan enjoying both. We collected my repaired lens (oo that hurt the wallet!) and then we were off to Waterstones to read several books in the children's dept. before coming away with a Very Hungry Caterpillar and the Duggee Stick Sticky Stick Stick (another episode you have to watch!) We decided to have our morning snacks in the bookshop cafe to save crossing the City once more and then we were back to the train station with a very sleepy Euan. The rhythm of the train lulled him off to sleep and he stayed like that through the return bus journey and half way back up the hill to home.
This afternoon Nana Margaret and Grandad Alan visited, a smashing surprise for Euan. After lots of talking about Eureka yesterday and sharing of new books, we walked down to the park, with Euan riding his balance bike, and did some kite flying. With countless running back and forth across the big field, I think a certain young boy will sleep well tonight. As will his Granny and Grandad.
