Zephyr
Have I ever mentioned I like ships? This is the view from my window today; she's been in since last night after a brief interlude back in the North sea yesterday morning. There's not a lot going on but it's still fascinating to watch. I'm guessing from the state of the tide now she'll be in until early tomorrow morning at least.
Today has been a bit odd. The weather changed quite dramatically overnight with heavy rain and a temperature drop of about five degrees. Himself and I hung around a bit until a break, of sorts, and then went for a walk along the cliff tops, partly to find out where the start of tomorrow's Parkrun is. We got drenched on the way back so nipped into the "best hotel in town" for a drink. 30 mins later we left as we still hadn't received the ordered drinks (they were on the bar as we walked out but it was table service only and if you're going to walk out, you need to walk out). So we tried to go to another pub we'd seen, only to find it didn't open until 2pm, and you could only go in the back way which meant walking round the block. We ended up back at one we'd been to on Wednesday where we were greeted like long lost friends!
It's a small town.
Snacks for lunch and then off out for dinner later. It's a very relaxing holiday so far, especially now the sun's come out again. Even if it's still chilly.
